Merced County allows residence in the unincorporated areas to grow a maximum of six plants for personal use, including both mature and premature plants. All growing of plants much be conducted INDOORS.

Merced County defines “indoors” as a fully enclosed and secure structure. It must be secured by lock and key or other security device which prevents unauthorized entry and is inaccessible to minors.

Merced County prohibits ALL outdoor grow of Cannabis.

The dispensary must posses a CA State M10 license and a Merced County Business License prior to deliveries.

7. How do I get a business license for cannabis in Merced County?

An applicant may apply for a Merced County Business License after they have been issued a CA State M10 License.

8. How do I get my permit for a dispensary?

Applicants must contact the local jurisdiction in which the retail location will be located for information pertaining to permitting in that jurisdiction. Merced County currently prohibits all commercial activity.
