Merced County allows residence in the unincorporated areas to grow a maximum of six plants for personal use, including both mature and premature plants. All growing of plants much be conducted INDOORS.
Merced County defines “indoors” as a fully enclosed and secure structure. It must be secured by lock and key or other security device which prevents unauthorized entry and is inaccessible to minors.

Medical cannabis products may be delivered to patients who reside within the unincorporated area of Merced County. Deliveries must be made by an employee of a retail dispensary located in a legal jurisdiction. The dispensary must posses a CA State M10 license and a Merced County Business License prior to deliveries.
An applicant may apply for a Merced County Business License after they have been issued a CA State M10 License.
Applicants must contact the local jurisdiction in which the retail location will be located for information pertaining to permitting in that jurisdiction. Merced County currently prohibits all commercial activity.
