About Adult and Aging Services

Adult and Aging Services assist elderly and disabled adults to achieve the greatest degree of independence by providing services which promote dignity and respect. Services include:

  • Transportation
  • Health insurance counseling
  • Home-delivered meals
  • Legal assistance
  • Family caregiver support

It also protects and provides services to dependent adults and seniors who are victims of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

The Area Agency on Aging

The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) programs are also run through Merced County Human Services Agency. AAA administers programs for the Older American's Act. These programs are notated with (AAA) after the program title.

Mandated Reporter Training: Elder and Dependent Adults 

Training from California Department of Social Services for reporting adult abuse as a mandated reporter.
