The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office introduces Forensic Pathologist Mark A. Super M.D. Dr. Super attended St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, and then attended the University of North Dakota at Grand Folks where he obtained two bachelors of Science degrees and a medical doctorate. Dr. Super then did Pathology training with the United States Navy at San Diego Naval Hospital; serving for eight years before being honorably discharged as a Lt. Commander.

Dr. Super is licensed by the State of California, and board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic, Clinical and Forensic Pathology. He currently is an active member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (A.A.F.S.) and the National Association of Medical Examiners (N.A.M.E). Dr. Super is also a Clinical Professor at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
