Merced County’s Registrar of Voters announced that the Merced County Registrar of Voters Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) is now accepting membership applications. The VAAC is an all-volunteer committee established to advise on issues related to Voting accessibility for elections and elections materials. The mission of the VAAC is to advise and assist with implementation of federal and state laws relating to improving access to the electoral process by voters with disabilities. The VAAC also provides recommendations identifying and prioritizing activities, programs, and policies to ensure every voter has equal access to the ballot.
