Merced Area Crime Stoppers is an innovative program that encourages citizens to report information about criminals without fear of retribution to themselves, their loved ones or their property. The program assures no one will ever know the identity of someone reporting information by routing all exchanges through an information center located in Canada where it is carefully encrypted before the center reroutes it to the proper law enforcement authorities for investigation. No one will ever be required to testify in court or reveal their identity to authorities.

Reward

An additional facet of the program that encourages citizens to participate is the provision that if an arrest is made as a result of the information, the person reporting is eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Further information can be found at Merced Area Crime Stoppers website.
