The Merced County Area Agency on Aging contracts with the Transit Joint Powers Authority of Merced County, also known as "The Bus" to provide free Fixed Route bus passes for seniors, age 60-61. Picture identification (ID) is required to verify proof of age.
Fixed Route Bus Passes
As a result of a local tax measure, all seniors, age 62 and above, can ride all Fixed Route buses for free.

Paratransit Bus Passes
Seniors with disabilities who are unable to navigate fixed route services of The Bus can apply for a free Paratransit Bus pass by calling (877) 232-7433, or by applying online at ADARide.
Donate
Donations are accepted and utilized to provide additional free passes. No eligible individual will be denied the service due to an inability to contribute.
