The Department of Public Health offers programs that are community-based, meaning services are rendered to residents at places other than the Health Department. Some of these services are referred to as Home Visiting Services. Public Health Nurses provide prenatal education, counseling and service coordination to pregnant women in their home, school and other community sites.
