Capital Facilities and Information Technology Component
The Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) requires that the California Department of Mental Health establish guidelines for the content of the Capital Facilities and Technology Component Plan that each county mental health department shall submit as part of its Three-Year Program and Expenditure Plan. A "capital facility" is a building secured to a foundation which is permanently affixed to the ground that is used for the delivery of MHSA services to mental health clients and their families or for administrative offices.

MHSA committee has the responsibility of adhering to all MHSA policies and requirements, with the input of staff, stakeholders, consumers, and family members. Throughout Merced County, many have already provided their input and expertise to develop requirements and plans for MHSA services. Learn more about Merced County's MHSA agenda by viewing our activities calendar and newsletter.
